The State of Missouri Returning Heroes’ Education Act provides an education benefit for eligible combat veterans.  The law limits some charges for qualifying undergraduate and graduate students in approved programs.  Benefit is limited to veterans who are a registered voter in Missouri, or eligible to vote in Missouri, as determined by the Missouri Secretary of State, or a current Missouri resident.

• Undergraduate students – limits charges for qualifying combat veterans to $50 per credit hour for approved programs.
• Graduate students – limits charges for qualifying combat veterans to no more than 30% of the cost of tuition and fees for approved programs. This benefit does not include professional degrees.
• Students have the option to have benefit applied either “before” or “after” all other federal and state aid.
