Two types of Chapter 33 post-9/11 benefits are available:
- Benefits for veterans
- Benefits for dependents
The Post-9/11 GI Bill® provides benefits for education and housing to military personnel who completed at least 90 days of aggregate service after Sept. 10, 2001, or who developed service-connected disabilities after 30 days. The service member must have received an honorable discharge to be eligible for the Post-9/11 GI Bill®.
The Post-9/11 GI Bill® allows service members to transfer unused benefits to their spouses or dependent children.
If you are an MU student using this benefit, please remember that your classes must be certified by using our office’s enrollment form every semester that you are requesting VA educational benefits.
Please DO NOT complete this form until after you have carefully chosen and registered for your classes at MU.
