Favorite campus tradition: I love everything about campus athletics. The law school puts on a tailgate before every home football game, and it’s a great way to bring the building together. I go to as many games as my schedule allows, and all the traditions surrounding them, the parties, the cheers, the chants, and the songs, are my favorite. M-I-Z!
Advice you would give to other student veterans: Don’t think that just because you did something in the service, you should stop doing it when you get out. Physical fitness, planning your day, and maintaining a standard are all very helpful in school. Don’t expect to succeed if your goal is to do no work on your own and show up to the minimum number of classes possible without showering.
Favorite Columbia hangout: The Heidelberg. It’s right down the street from the law school, and they have half price appetizers daily!
