Levi Brugger was born in Paducah, Kentucky and raised in Metropolis, Illinois. He enlisted in the Army National Guard in December of 2010 and attended Basic Combat Training in Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri. Upon completion of Advanced Individual Training for Motor Transport Operator School, he enrolled in a small community college back home, but decided to take his education further and applied to Mizzou. Levi is expected to graduate in the fall of 2015 with a Bachelors of Arts in Communication and a minor in Business hoping for a career in marketing. Last summer, Levi served with the Missouri National Guard in the humanitarian mission Beyond the Horizon: Guatemala conducting logistical support for several different engineering units as well as working with the Guatemalan armed forces. He was also activated with the National Guard to Ferguson, Missouri in November of 2014. Levi is very active in the student veteran community, serving as the acting Secretary in the Mizzou Student Veterans Association for the second year in a row and is a former work study employee in the MU Veterans Center.
